| This piece has a fascinating provenance. Genevieve Garvan Brady was married to one of the wealthiest men in the U.S, he was the first to American to receive the Roman Catholic Church honor The "Ordine Supremo Dell Christo". They were both great benefactors to the Church, they spent twenty years traveling and buying for "Inisfada". The couple were great benefactors and eventually donates "Inisfada" to the Society of Jesus. Measuring 64" by 25" wide. In overall very good condition, one small stain, a few openings, and one edge has a missing animal. All this seems to me quite minor on such a magnificent piece. |
